Minooka, a Village, is a village of more then 8,000 people. Minooka is located in the northeast corner of Grundy county. It extends into Kendall County to the north and Will County to the east. Kendall county is the fastest growing county in the U.S. Will County is the second fastest growing county in Illinois, and Grundy County the ninth fastest growing county in Illinois.

Minooka Village is in the Chicago metropolitan area 48 miles Southwest of down town Chicago and 11 miles west of Joilet on Interstate 80. Minooka is bounded by the communities of Channahon on the east and south, Shorewood on the north, and Morris on the west. All of these cities are experiencing an explosion of development and growth.

Minooka's population has grown by 5,000 since the 2000 censes. Within five miles of the Village hall, there are a dozen subdivisions with over 1500 new homes planned and several hundred at different stages of completion. These homes range in price from 150,000.00 to 300,00.00.

Minooka has only three churches: St. Mary's Catholic, and First Methodist Episcopal were both established in the mid 1860's, and  Minooka Bible church established in the mid 1950's. In light of the current growth and need, now is an opportune time for the establishment of a strong Bible-believing Baptist church.
